My girlfriend and I broke up. We were both too busy to spend any time together. She was lonely. I guess I'm a negligent girlfriend. It's been pretty hard on me. I've done nothing but work since we broke up. I haven't given myself time to be sad. My concerts have been going well. I have no reason to be sad, really.

Well yeah. I think everyone would rather be happy, given the choice...doesn't make sadness any less important.

You could always do what singers do and sing about it.
